These photographs are taken from a drone. Not edited to look aerial. Actually shot from above, at the hours when the light hits the water at the right angle and the coast becomes something different from what you see at ground level. The surf at Bronte and The Pass. The rock pools of the eastern suburbs. The deep blue off the Byron Bay headland.

The aerial perspective changes what the coast looks like. Surf breaks and beaches familiar from the sand become unrecognisable from 60 metres up. The geometry of a rock pool, the colour gradient of a wave closing out, the shadow of a headland across still water. These things exist from the air and nowhere else.

Every print in the Ocean Line Studio collection is produced using archival pigment inks on museum-grade Canson Infinity paper. Two finishes: Photo Lustre Semi-Gloss for vibrant colour images, Rag Photographique Matte for black and white. Both rated to last over a century without fading.
